Employee experience is no longer designed in isolation.

Today, leaders, HR teams, internal communicators and operational teams are all being asked to play a role in shaping the experience people have at work. At the same time, the world of work is changing rapidly.

Artificial intelligence is automating many routine tasks across HR, learning and communications. Microsoft’s Work Trend Index suggests that around 75% of knowledge workers are already using AI at work, while 79% of business leaders say AI adoption is critical to staying competitive.

As technology handles more of the transactional work, the value of human skills is rising. Research increasingly highlights the importance of capabilities like empathy, creativity, judgement and problem-solving when designing the experiences people have at work.

But there’s a challenge.

Many organisations know they need to improve employee experience, yet struggle to move from insight to action.

So how do teams actually build those skills while solving real problems?

That’s where design sprints come in.

In this session, we introduce the EX Design Sprint – a practical, human-centred approach that we use with organisations to tackle real employee experience challenges, while building capability within their teams.

Rather than spending months analysing a problem or launching large programmes without testing ideas, a design sprint brings the right people together to:

  • explore a challenge
  • understand employee needs
  • generate ideas
  • test possibilities
  • build momentum quickly

It’s not about theory. It’s about learning by doing.
